Ms. Lanla F. Yilla is a native of Freetown, Sierra Leone. West Africa. She attended the A.W.M.S and F.S.S.G were she attained her GCE O’levels and A’levels respectively. Upon completion of her high School years, she went on to the University of Sierra Leone at the N’jala university college were is received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Upon completion of her undergrad, She migrated to the USA to pursue a masters degree.
Ms. Yilla is widowed, mother of Alvary and Artavious and a surrogate mother to over a thousand Pirates at Stone Mountain High. She loves reading, dancing and is an excellent cook.
At the rock, she enjoys teaching, nurturing and inspiring the next generation of leaders. Teaching is the most noble profession, it allows for student to explore and understand whats' inside the "proverbial box "so that they can apply critical thinking and innovative solution to solve problems"think outside the box".
